BRIAN SELIGMAN
Tell us about yourself (family, job, etc.)
I am married, 2 children. I was a computer network engineer. I am currently disabled (soc. sec. disability insurance) due to being hit by a drunk driver and having a surgeon make mistakes inside me.
Why are you here today?
1) Income inequality is hurting the poor and Republicans took 11% of my SSDI to give to my health company so I don’t have enough money to buy my medicines.
2) Even when I am better I will be depending on the Obamacare reforms to prevent me from being denied medical coverage in the future.
What is the most pressing issue in your life right now? How could it be remedied?
I have no money for bills or food. COLA increases to reflect the real costs of living for me and/or more jobs available for my wife would be most helpful.
